HOMESCHOOL ROOM TOUR & ORGANIZATION

 Hey friends,

Today I'm sharing our homeschool room tour and organization. I am in love with our special space for school here in our home and I've got to be honest, it's turned out exactly how I'd envisioned it. Two years ago we were doing our homeschool in a really nice room in our finished basement, but if if I'm being honest I hated that it was downstairs. I wanted a space that was bright and cheery where we could all gather around and be together, not in a windowless room in our basement. I got to work and decided to school around our dining room table. It's the perfect spot and where we spend a good chunk of our time as a family anyway, so why not add schooling there as well!? We have a large wood dining table with plenty of space, and then I added this console table, and two carts filled with the kids curriculums, a beautiful hand painted calendar, and many more details to complete the look.

I just love how our space turned out!! For more homeschool content check out my youtube channel below. I'd love to have you apart of my youtube community :)

Love,

STOCKING STUFFERS FOR KIDS 2020

 Hey friends,

Today I'm sharing what I've put in my kids stockings this year for Christmas. I've always loved holidays, but having kids has definitely taken it to a whole new level for me. I remember my parents always made the holidays and especially Christmas extra special for us and I try to do the same for my kids now. Though we enjoy giving and receiving gifts I always make it a point to remember the REAL reason we celebrate Christmas and that is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. My kids have been taught this from an early age and I pray that they always think of Jesus first during this time and always. I would definitely describe myself as the "pinterest mom" when it comes to holidays and birthdays. I can't help myself. I feel like I want my kids to remember the holidays and their birthdays as some of the most magical exciting times of their lives. I try to create unforgettable memories for them that they will cherish forever and pass on to their kids as well.

With all of that being said I'm going to share their stocking stuffers! I hope these give you some ideas for your own kids stockings. My son is 6 and my daughter will be 3 next month and they both are very excited for Christmas this year. I tried to shop small this year and be intentional about what I was getting for them. I wanted good quality items that would last and that I knew they wouldn't get bored of in ten minutes. I'm super happy with the items I chose and know they're going to love them!

A Year Goes Fast

Well, the last post I wrote was when my babe turned a year old and here we are a couple of months past his second birthday !! I can't tell you how many times I've sat in bed and thought of a blog post I wanted to write in the past year and just forgot to actually do it. It's amazing and crazy to me just how quickly a year actually goes by. I remember when I was a little girl, a year felt like f o r e v e r , seriously, summers lasted so long, a week felt like an eternity, and one day seemed to drag on ...not anymore !! I swear, the older I get the faster time goes, add having a child on to that and time really zooms by.

Anyway, enough of that...My boy is a little over 2 years old and my mama heart can hardly believe/take it. I swear to you it feels like yesterday I was sobbing at 4 am with his sweet newborn  self latched to my boob, crying tears of happiness....How has it already been 2 years? I love being a mama more than anything, truly more than ANYTHING in the entire world, but it is also the craziest, most emotionally draining, rewarding, happiest, and scariest experience of my life. Every single day with him is the best day of my life and I couldn't be happier or feel more blessed. I just wish time didn't pass so quickly. I wish I could hold on to the moments with him forever, or rewind and relive them anytime I wanted..I guess I sort of can do this because I film everything, but you know what I mean.

I try my best to stay in each moment, to smell his sweet baby smell, to snuggle, to play, to laugh, to hug, to love, to really listen to him when he talks (HE TALKS NOW GUYS !!) and to not get caught up in every day tasks, worries, and stresses, and to truly remember that these days are sweet, but they are passing by in the blink of an eye, and one day he won't be my little babe, he'll be my grown son...and I'll yearn for these moments and cry for these memories...UGH. Mama emotions !! I also try to cherish the time we have together, especially right now as my husband is currently deployed and we have lots of days that are spent just the two of us (Mase and I ) and I try really hard to just enjoy them, and I do, but I also have this ache in my heart, knowing that he won't remember these days, our little snuggles and talks, our dancing around the house as he yells "dance mama!" , the way he looks at me for approval and puckers his little lips and smiles when I tell him "good job" ugh. Why, why won't he remember? It's weird isn't it? I wish I could remember these moments and special times with my mom when I was his age. Life is just crazy.

Alright, enough sadness for one blogpost...Most of this was happy though, I just let my mama emotions go crazy sometimes but then I bring myself back to the moment, and take a look over at my sweet boy next to me memorizing flags and saying them back to me, smiling the whole time. He makes my heart whole, whether or not he remembers these days, they will always be my favorite and I'll cherish them forever. <3

you'll always be my best boy, Mase.

Mason's ONE YEAR UPDATE !!

I can't believe today is here...My sweet little baby is a whole year old. Where has the time gone?? I know I said it every month but this month is especially crazy to me...I layed in bed with Mase last night and just stared at him, when did he feet get so big? When did his hair grow so long? What happened to the days when he fit right in my arms? Gahhhh... Every day with you is the best day of my life. My sweet boy is one year old today and I couldn't be happier or feel more blessed. My eyes have seen a lot of things and I've been through so much but my greatest accomplishment, the best part of me, is you. I love you with everything I am and hope you have the best birthday ever Mason Scott

Height/Weight: 32 inches tall and 26lbs

Routine: Mason's routine hasn't really changed from last month, except he's a WHOLE YEAR OLD!! EEEEEKKKKKK!!

Sleeping: Our babe is an excellent sleeper! He wakes up around 9am and takes a nap 3 hours later at noon. Plays and runs, then has another nap around 3 and then is up and full of energy! He goes to bed at 8:30pm and wakes once to nurse, sometimes he sleeps all night!

Eating/Feeding: It's crazy how as soon as he turned a year old I felt SO much more comfortable with feeding him solids! After his one year DR. appointment we got the go ahead on pretty much all foods...let the fun begin! Right now Mason is loving spaghetti ;) He's still nursing on demand and it's going great. No end in sight, yet !!

Sizes:  Size 4 diapers & 18-24 month clothing

Milestones: The biggest one from this month is the fact that he has TWO teeth popping through! Ahhhhhh we're so excited, but sad to see him in pain!! Our boy also got to celebrate his very first birthday party! It was lumberjack themed and we had THE BEST time.

Happy Birthday Mason Scott, we love you a whole lot !!

Our First Trip to Mike's Farm

We spent the day at Mike's Farm. It's the coolest place with all kinds of different events going on depending on the time of year. For Fall they have hayrides, pumpkin pickings, a magic show, animals, and the best comfort food at their family style restaurant. We packed up the car and headed off. It was such a good relaxing day with my boys.

We love it here !!
