Oh my goodness, this blog is filled with happy tears and sad tears !! I cannot, absolutely can NOT believe my baby is half a year old today...where in the world have the past 6 months gone?? He's grown up before my eyes and I can't believe it. I'm so proud and happy of my sweet boy. He is my world and there is nothing in this life I'd rather do than be his mommy :)
Height/Weight: Mase weighs 22lbs and is 29 1/2 inches long !! Such a big strong boy we have :)
Routine: Mase has a routine that he follows everyday and mama couldn't be happier! He goes to bed between 8-8:30pm and wakes up between 6-7am. He takes a morning nap a couple hours later, then he plays and nurses, and naps again a few hours later. Sometimes he takes a 3rd nap but it just depends on how busy we were that day. Mase spends tons of time on his belly just crawling around in his room or in his play pen. He also loves sitting in his activity seat and watching me clean :) Mase takes a bath two - three times a week unless he gets extra dirty, ha. This routine works great and we couldn't be happier with it !!
Sleeping: Mase is still sleeping in our bed and at this point I'm fine with it. We're in the process of moving into our house so I figure we'll try napping only in his crib once we're there and more settled and work on getting him sleeping at night in his crib around that time too. Mase had an upper respitory infection recently so having him in my bed with me was awesome. I could watch over him and nurse him as much as he needed. ( He's doing much better now !! Thankfully :) )
Eating/Feeding: Mase is exclusively breastfeeding on demand like always and he does awesome. I couldn't ask for a better little nursling !! We nurse to sleep, throughout the day, when we're sad, or not feeling well, and when we feel great !! I just love our breastfeeding experience together and don't have a clue when we'll stop...most likely after he turns one but we will see !!
Sizes: Mase wears mainly 12 month clothing but he still fits into a few 9 month things and he is in size 3 diapers.
Milestones: Mase is practically crawling. He was up on all fours and rocking back and forth the other day so I know it will be anyday now and he'll be crawling all around !! For now he continues to scoot like crazy from one side of the room to the next. We can't leave him alone for even a second !! Mase is sitting up almost on his own but not quite!! Soon, soon !! He tried his first solid food recently, avocado !! He seemed to enjoy it. We're using the Baby Led Weaning approach and love it. I've been reading a couple of books on it to make shore I do it just right :) We are loving this experience so far :) Mase also loves to give kisses, big open mouth kisses hahah. I love it, he's adorable and growing so fast !!!!
