Health 101 : What I ate on Monday :)

Hey girls,

I've decided to write a new daily blog post about health. With summer just around the corner I know that a lot of us are doing all that we can do get our bodies beach ( or pool ) ready. I've decided to post pictures of what I'm eating each day and list the calories in each meal as well. I'm using this as a sort of food journal to track my own progress and to share my knowledge with all of you. I hope you enjoy!

Monday:

Breakfast:
I just love this yummy cereal by Kashi. The granola clusters are delicious and the silk milk along with it really fill me up and give me an energy boost for the day :)


1 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch  (190 calories)
1/2 cup of Silk Soymilk in Vanilla ( 50 calories )

Total : 240 Calories

Lunch:
I was in a very big hurry and rushing out the door when I realized that I hadn't eaten lunch. So I quickly grabbed two plain, gluten free, rice cakes and a chobani greek yogurt. I decided to spread a bit onto each cake and then eat the rest of the yogurt by itsself. It was tasty and it filled me up! :)


Two rice cakes ( 70 calories all together, 35 each )
1 serving of Chobani yogurt ( 140 calories )

Total : 210 Calories

Dinner:
After my workout I was ready for a light dinner. I decided to wash some fresh romain and top it with sliced strawberries and sliced almonds. The texture and tastes together are so tasty. I also grabbed a few carrot sticks and a serving of Chobani greek yogurt. The dinner was light but very filling :)


Small romain salad  (8 calories )
4 sliced strawberries (25 calories )
1 tablespoon sliced almonds (40 calories )
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette in raspberry merlot ( 30 calories )
1/2 cup carrot sticks ( 35 calories )
Chobani Peach yogurt (140 calories )

Total: 278 calories

Throughout the day I snacked on red grapes which was about 34 calories.

Total calorie intake for the day : 762 calories
